One thing I've always wanted to do was to record and release a Christmas album, and last year I had the opportunity to do just that.
I put together a list of songs that I wanted to include in this collection, and also wrote an original Christmas song (along with Jeff Gerosky, Annie Pagonis and Stephanie Menke Sutorka), and headed over to Sound Investments Studio to start the process.
With the help of many of my musician friends we got all of the tracks recorded, then I thought, "why not get all of my close friends together to sing on a song?', and that's just what we did. John Lennon's "Happy Christmas (war is over)" was the perfect vehicle for this venture. 40+ of my nearest and dearest friends and family were able to make it into the studio, and my brother Brad even recorded a 12 string track on my father's guitar and sent it up to me from Florida.
We (Stephanie and I) decided to donate part of the profits from the release to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital and part to Toys for Tots. We were able to give over $500.00 to each charity! We thank you all for your generosity!
